Yaz fined for Misleading Ads

When you launch a product, is only normal for marketers to try and keep it as general as possible. However, when it comes to clinical or medical products, you better be on the lookout for people who may be monitoring you. That is just the case on what happened to Bayer Corp’s Yaz birth control pill where it claimed to be the total solution for women with post menstrual disorder.

The problem is that they generalized too much, not taking into account the various cases of PMS. Further, Yaz has not shown any proof that it is indeed catered to women…

No More Free Drinks for Women in Bars

For bars, this new draft code released by the UK government. Then again, it could drive customers away. We are all aware that offering free drinks spur trades such as socialization among bar goers and sometimes, it may get out of hand. It could lead to “social, sexual, physical, mental, financial or sporting performance”, which have their share of issues that include trying to downsize the crime rate due to vices from intoxication.

Harvey Nichols, founded in 1813, is an upmarket department store chain. Its original store is in London and later expanded to more cities in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Their ads are always creative, especially when it comes to its famous sales.

The most recent ads depicted shoppers as vultures fighting over pieces on sale and the newest Harvey Nichols ads show us female shoppers as runners in killer heels.

A Smashing Good Ad

Who doesn’t love the Wonderbra ads? I mean they are always so humorous in a subtle sort of way. You have to22684_1_468.jpeghonestly appreciate the subtlety and humor in the creative from Wonderbra. Well when they come out with a new ad, you expect that same sort of humor.

Well not this time! Wonderbra apparently though it was time to lose the subtlety with this in your face ad.In Germany, theses ads were used in outdoor ad shells. The Wonderbra ad uses the Wonderbra as quite the weapon of mass destruction in this smashing ad.

I try not to ever double up on what I write for one blog on another.  However I thought this idea was so creative and fun that I had to double up  and share that the Golden Magazine will be hitting newsstands soon!

According to Trendhunter, it is estimated that this one magazine will cost $10,000 to produce!!

Removing Stains in One Wash!

In order to prove the claim that they can remove all stains in one wash, Breeze Excel laundry detergent, actually “delivered” on their promise to consumers.

Instead of sending a box with a gift in it, to the target market of women’s groups in Thailand, the box that was mailed was actually wrapped with the gift.

A t-shirt wrapped box contained a sample of the laundry detergent and if consumers wanted to see the results of their product all they had to do was wash the t-shirt with the enclosed laundry detergent sample.
